PHOENIX Women are Breaking the Mold

Since 2015, Plastics News has been highlighting women in the industry with it’s annual Women Breaking the Mold special report. PHOENIX is proud to announce that Katherine Trost, Director of Sales, has been recognized by Plastics News as a 2023 Women Breaking the Mold honoree.

Katherine started her career as a mechanical drafter as one of four women on an engineering and design team of 50! Over the course of her career she has worked in engineering, design, and sales. Since 2013, Katherine has been an inspirational leader in the packaging industry. Meena Banasiak VP of Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility

Katherine continues to break the mold in everything she does, including leading our sales team to become award-winning suppliers to our customers. PHOENIX is so fortunate to be inspired by Katherine every day! Katherine was honored in November at the annual Women Breaking the Mold conference.

PHOENIX Vice President Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility, Meena Banasiak (pictured right) also attended and presented a workshop titled "Authenticity": How Bringing Your Whole (or Partial) Self to Work Shapes Your Effectiveness. During the workshop, Meena gave attendees two models to examine several dimensions of their own identity and well-being and together they explored how these elements influence their interpersonal relationships with others.
