Aurora, IL - June 22, 2022: PHOENIX, a manufacturing company specializing in injection-molded closures, has opened a new corporate headquarters on Meridian Lake Drive in Aurora, only a few blocks away from their previous headquarters in Naperville and walking distance from the Metra train station. PHOENIX worked with Paine Wetzel Associates to purchase the property, while Peak Construction, CSO Architects, and Bach Asset Solutions helped demolish, rebuild, and modernize approximately 65% of the existing office that was originally held by AAA.
This state-of-the-art, modernized 41,375 sq. ft. office was furnished by Forward Space and comes equipped with an ideation room, R&D lab, two full-sized kitchens, a gym, library area, and numerous conference rooms, meeting areas, and quiet rooms for employees and customers alike. “We know a business is only as good as its team and wanted a space where they can work together, collaborate, and make great things happen. Feedback from employees impacted the design of the office to best represent PHOENIX and our company culture,” said PHOENIX Co-President, Alby Miller.
PHOENIX also partnered with DIRTT to include modular wall structures to accommodate future office layout changes. These structures use 47% recycled content, preventing 6,600 pounds of drywall waste from entering landfill and capture 6,400 pounds of CO2 within timber structures. The new corporate office and tech center will help PHOENIX develop innovative solutions for customer packaging challenges, including impact on the environment.
